In addition to the monthly roundup PDF of June’s Anglo-Latin Words of the Day based on a whirlwind tour of Byrhtferth of Ramsey’s computus commentary, I’ve included a few bits and bobs of Early Medieval English “happenings.”

Further, in an effort to declutter inboxes, you’ll hear from me less frequently going forward. Expect the monthly language learning-technique post to be rolled in with the poster. I’ll also use this as the vehicle to cover various detours that I’m taking with the historical languages. For those who were interested in my desire to learn Classical Arabic, I’ll cover my progress here—the ups, downs, ins and outs of independent learning and any resources that I find particularly helpful.

In this newsletter, I shed more light on my motivation to learn Classical Arabic as well as some findings on Latin learning from eighty years ago.
